Kirti holds an electro engineering degree from Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB), MBA and Ph.D. in Decision Science from Katz Graduate School of Business – University of Pittsburgh. She received the special honor of induction into the International Honor Society Beta Gamma Sigma in April 1996. Before joining PPM School of Management in Jakarta, Indonesia, in 1981, she had been a manager in the quality, production, and engineering departments of a national cable manufacturing company for eight years.
She was a senior consultant, trainer, and faculty member at PPM School of Management until her retirement. She has also been Head of the PPM Operations and Decision Science Department and Dean of PPM Graduate School of Management. Her expertise includes production/operations and quality management, systems thinking, performance management (Balanced Scorecard), organization learning, and decision making in complex environment (AHP).
She is an internationally recognized expert in the Analytic Hierarchy Process, gaining her expertise directly from its founder Dr. Thomas L. Saaty by being his student and working with him since 1985, including co-authoring "Group Decision Making: Drawing out and reconciling differences." With her interest in the learning aspect of management education she has been a speaker in various seminars, both national and international. Marquis Who's Who, the world's premier publisher of biographical profiles, named her a Lifetime Achiever on July 6, 2017.
